WHY HAVE YOU BEEN PRESCRIBED OXYGEN?

Your Healthcare Professional will have completed an assessment which may have indicated that the level of oxygen in your blood is low. Therefore you may require some supplementary oxygen.


Oxygen should be used as indicated and prescribed by your Healthcare Professional. They will decide the equipment best suited to your needs, how many hours per day you should use it for and the flow rate or ‘setting’. It is very important that you follow your Healthcare Professional’s guidance in using your oxygen, as oxygen can damage your health if used incorrectly.
