Dolby Vivisol had another successful conference this month. The conference included many activities such as exhibiting our services to over 250 delegates, a comprehensive program of clinical updates and a Masquerade gala dinner to end the event on a high.

The ARTP, which stands for Associate for Respiratory Technology in Physiology, a important organisation within the respiratory healthcare industry nationally informs and influences major organisations about the delivery of respiratory services. Furthermore, ARTP links with equivalent national organisations around the world to deliver global standards in respiratory healthcare involving respiratory technology and physiology.

Key speakers such as Helen Sharman, the first Briton in Space and first female to visit the MIR Space station attended the event to discuss a very interesting topic ‘Extreme Physiology- Training For and Living in Space’. Professor Mike Hughes was also in attendance to give a lecture on ‘Forty Years of Respiratory Physiology’ and Dr Renata Riha covered ‘Sleep Apnoea: Past, Present and Future’.

Along with attending the clinical sessions, we also ran a stand for the exhibition. This is an opportunity to display the many services and products that we can bring to the world of healthcare.

Dolby Vivisol also won an award during the conference from a leading supplier within the oxygen community. Steve Cottee accepted the award on behalf of Dolby Vivisol for the ‘2015 - Outstanding Performance in Oxygen’ award which was awarded by David Haines, General Manager from DeVilbiss Healthcare.
